Princess Amber' is the deuteragonist of the Disney Junior series Sofia the First. She is James' older twin sister, Sofia's older stepsister, and the first Princess of Enchancia.
Background[]
Early Life[]
Amber was born along with James to King Roland II, and the late Queen Lorelei, when he made a wish in a wishing well. Amber and James both never knew what it was like to have a mother until their Dad and Miranda from the village fell in love and married. Now is Amber's job to help her stepsister, Sofia be a true princess.
Elena of Avalor[]
Amber and the rest of Sofia's family returned to Avalor just in time to celebrate Princess Elena's coronation.
Personality[]
Unlike James, Amber does not share her brother's humility. She can be downright haughty and mean, but underneath it all she is a nice girl who cares deeply for her friends and family. As the series has progressed, she is growing to be more responsible, kind and respective towards Sofia by teaching her more about being a princess.
She tries keep Sofia out of harm's way as well. And while she is still holding on to her old haughty, vain and spoiled behavior, Amber is steadily improving not only as a princess, but as a person as well. She has especially matured in the fourth season, being more flexible, brave, and aware of previous bad behavior.
This maturity has led to her joining Sofia on an adventure with the amulet that she doesn't forget, and becoming the future Queen of Enchancia.
